I appreciate your commentary regarding the history of our founding fathers and "political" ancestrial children who have followed. I am new to the art of expressing my views in any manner of public forum. Having said this, I am growing more aggresive in my desire to be heard somewhere, somehow, by anyone!

In my newfound willingness to take active interest in the discussions relevant to current matters, I find myself dismayed by the one sided comments from the left and right that simply support one sided political opinion.

What I wish to see, and participate in, is meaningful discussion between IDENTIFIED persons supporting a SPECIFIC position related to an Identified legislation and attached amendments. Too much of the Public dialogue is nothing more than double talk about...but not attached to SPECIFIC legislation for the public to review! They did not have the internet in 1776!

I listened to a fantastic presentation on C-Span by Rep. Michele Bachman R-Minn, and others, regarding Health Care and in particular..ACORN (Rep Steve King R.Iowa. In short, if the Republicans knew about ACORN and it's abuses.."FOR SOME TIME", why did they wait until now to bring them up? Obama has only been President fot 9 months! ACORN has been given $53+ million since the mid 90's(and $8 billion is earmarked BY CURRENT LEGISLATION ALREADy ENACTED UNDER REPUBLICAN and DEMOCRATIC administrations)without successful opposition! WHY? WHY NOW?!

Democratic/Socialists, Republican/Capitalists, and Libitarian/ Independants need to reaffim their commitment to those they are sworn to represent. We The People should be The Only LOBBY allowed in Washington and our State houses.

My dear friend, Paul S., states that I ramble on?! I do! So! I will force myself to close by saying simply this. Our future can not be advanced by reciting the past. Our future must incorporate the principeles and values from the past, with a genuine evaluation of the realities of our time, in respect to our founding principles and values. Yet, I suggest it is time to appreciate that Socialists can not demand the expendature of funds that the Capitalists have not made possible...any more than Capitalists can demand that funds not be spent in the Public interest when funds are available to do so.

I could go on but I will close! Thank you for bearing with me to this point. dtw

Dear Mr. McClanahan,

I emailed the publisher as you has suggested to try and get a price on bulk purchase of your book on CD. I did not get any response. Now I don't remember the name of the publisher you gave me. Any reason they would ignore my request? Is it not possible to purchase in bulk?

Just finished reading your book. As an "originalist," I planned to use it in my high school government classes. I have been a public high school teacher for 17 years and have taught American history and government most of that time. I have a MA in History from Central Missouri University and my thesis explored what Truman knew about espionage and spies still in government when he took the helm and how he responded (cover-up). Anyway, I have been attacked by my liberal colleagues for years in the Socialist Studies Department. I was called in by the principal a month ago and once again accused of being a conservative. I have had 17 years of great evaluations so I am not a malcontent or trouble maker. I asked wherein lied the crime? The discussion became heated and he refused to tell me who the other teachers were calling for my head. He promised me that "This is not finished." Now he has stripped me of all my government courses and they went ahead and took advanced studies history from me as well. I have been sent down to skid row for being a conservative. Your book is awesome and I wish I could have used it in class.

Mr. McClanahen
I received your book (The founding fathers) from my son for Christmas because he knows I like to read. I too am a conservative of the patriotic state. What ticks me off the most about loud mouth republicans is they won't support the Presidents that are sworn in. When Bush was in we Dems supported . But when a Rep. is in it's nothing but BS. Remember.......... when the election is over we are not Democrats or Republicans ... (we are AMERICANS)

I also read the book(and I agree with everything in it) just as I've read the "PIG to the Constitution" and the "PIG to American History."
Obama and Stalin have a lot in common;their hatred for Christianity and life.I do not know who is the biggest liar.

The states can interpose because they are sovereign and the federal government is our agent-we tell them what to do and not the opposite.

The problem is how are the states going to regain control of the purse within the state itself meaning no money goes to Washington. He who controls the purse controls the power.
Or you can wing it and let the chips fall where they may.
Or you could hold no federal elections.
Finally where are you going to find any state legislatures or governors with backbone?
A joint resolution signed by the chief executive of the state becomes a law. The courts are to be ignored since the state has the duty and right to do so if legislation from Congress or the courts is harmful to the common good. This is for each to determine for itself. The Governor and Legislature are answerable to the citizens of the state and it is not for Washington to be looking after the common good of the states. If that were so then why bother having state government. The states have to bring an end to this either by interposition, nullification,or secession all of which are Constitutional.

I feel certain that it is going to be a bloody mess.

Make sure you have your guns and plenty of ammunition.

Bruce Barron

I forgot to mention that the courts do legislate all the time and when they do they certainly are to be ignored, if not arrested for perjury, since they take an oath to uphold the Constitution and they have no legislative power.
